The chef is a creative genius
The chef is a creative genius, yet the most humble, down-to-earth guy. The food is incredible. I don’t know another restaurant like this. If you want amazing food you would find only at a fine dining restaurant, but you want to hang out in a casual environment with no pretense, this is that place. I really can’t recommend BLT more. I’m a huge fan.
The right atmosphere
The right atmosphere. The right beers on tap and the food is AWESOME! Prices are competitive. Love this place!
Service is impeccable
The atmosphere is lovely and the service is impeccable. After a few visits I’ve not been disappointed in any of the dishes. The chef is very capable and I look forward to coming back to try an ever changing menu. Price-wise you absolutely get what you pay for and I’ve added BLT to my rotation in the NW corner!
Food was excellent
Food was excellent. Waite team very friendly. Good vegetarian choices and other non vegetarian choices. Creative use of ingredients . Stayed open late to service us. It’s a must to try!
Absolutely unique and delish!
Food was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. We tried the octopus, lamb, clams, and burrata, all absolutely unique and delish!
Will definitely return
Great server! I think his name was Brian he was very pleasant and efficient. Beer list was decent and most of the food was great. Octopus was a standout. Will definitely return.
Food is so good
Second time here, and boy are we glad we came back. Food is so good. The mix of flavors textures presentation not what you would expect in new Hartford. This has the potential of being a destination restaurant.
It was fantastic!!!
We ate there today and it was fantastic!!! Best bloody mary in years and the owner even makes his own pickles for the drink! I had the crispy duck small plate with a super fresh potato salad with a light dressing, perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs and sauteed fresh greens – all for $12. I thought it was going to be tiny but it was well worth it and the small plate was enough for me. My husband got the rolled hamburger with cheese and bacon with fried green tomatoes and potato salad and he said it was great (I don’t eat bacon so I take his word for it). We shared a blueberry crumble that was out of this world – fresh peach infused cream with nuts and fresh blueberries and more than enough for two to share at only $8. The server was extremely helpful and patient and we never had to wait for anything. I liked it so much I will go out of my way to visit again. I HIGHLY recommend you try it!
Excellent service & incredible food
I’ve had the pleasure of having dinner here twice. The atmosphere and service are outstanding. The owner will bend over backwards to make sure you’re happy. The menu changes and both times we went there were vegetarian options that the owner/chef made vegan if necessary. The prices are reasonable for what you get. There are some dinner entrees over $25, but you can find something amazing for less than $20. You also get whatever bread-basket type thing they’re doing. The first time we went they had popovers good enough to make a basket of those your meal. The second time was chips and homemade salsa. Excellent service. Incredible food.
Great food
Great food. All clean and interesting dishes.
The dishes were delicious
The dishes were delicious, but it was pricey. I highly recommend getting the cheesecake, it was delicious!
It’s a special place
This is a very special new restaurant; we’re so happy to have them in New Hartford. Unlike any restaurant I know of in CT, the chef here changes his menu weekly, and that creativity keeps things interesting for both him and his customers. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the plates so beautifully presented (but not pretentious) we snapped pictures of each course. They have an excellent beer list and allow you to buy any of their wines by the glass (again, something I’ve not encountered before). The setting is minimalist and the waitstaff delightful. Prices aren’t small, but entrees are easily shared and the appetizer plates are hearty. Go and welcome this unique restaurant into our area, and bring friends. It’s a special place.
Ambience was great
Great new place. Had the ribeye which was fantastic – came with a parsnip purée and brussel sprouts with caramel bacon. Our server, Brian, was polite, fun, easy going, and on the ball. Ambience was great too – huge improvement over Chatterly’s. Will definitely go back.
Great service & large portions
Great service, large portions nicely presented at perfect temperatures. Light wood atmosphere. Prices are somewhat expensive for the area.
